Shenzhen, China — On March 26th, São Paulo Metro Line 17 (Gold Line) SkyRail vehicle developed by BYD rolled off the production line in Guang'an city, in the southwest Sichuan province. The ceremony was held at BYD's global headquarters in Shenzhen. João Dória, Governor of São Paulo; Paulo Galli, Secretary of Metropolitan Transport of São Paulo; Silvani Pereira, President of São Paulo Metro; Minister Jin Hongjun, Chargé d'affaires, Embassy of China in Brazil; Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD Company Limited and CEO of BYD Americas, witnessed the ceremony online.

São Paulo Line 17 Gold will connect several metro lines along the way, and it also will pass through a strategic point in the city, Congonhas Airport. It will be an important part of the city's comprehensive transportation system. BYD Skyrail will help to reduce congestion and bring passengers a more pleasant and convenient green travel experience.
The vehicles are specially tailored to the unique geographical environment and operating habits of São Paulo. With a minimum turning radius, SkyRail is well adapted to São Paulo's communities in the downtown area. Additionally, it is equipped with a fully automatic operation system, which enables more precise operations control, resulting in higher punctuality. Meanwhile, the security systems include an on-board passenger information system(PIS), CCTV, and emergency intercom, providing passengers with professional, reliable, and real-time service.
